My Son is Starving

After having two large wedges of cantaloupe, a half a kiwi, two eggs, and a large slice of whole wheat cherry/strawberry coffee cake, my son just said to me, "I'm starving--can I have some food?!"

Yeah, I see his point--that was a paltry breakfast. What am I thinking?

Back to the kitchen...

ROFL. Is he related to my son? Breakfast this morning was a smoothie made from 8oz of spinach, a banana, 4 oz mango, flax seeds and a handful of raw cashews. To finish he had three scrambled eggs on toast. Not half an hour later he started complaining about hunger, so I tossed him a bag of carrots which he proceeded to devour. I don't understand how a 7 year old's stomach can cope with that much food.

I don't know either. I understand about growth spurts and how my kids are constantly jumping around--they burn it up. Still. It's a bottomless pit in there!

I was just reading your blog when my comment from you popped up in my email ;) Synchronicity.

I have taken many a cold shower back in michigan... they are awful!

here in arizona, our tap water is always warm... so "cold" showers are actually lukewarm.

we barely need the option of hot in summer.

i do understand the need for a hot water tank. soooo not a luxury.
