No Barracuda for Sarah

It seems the Wilsons didn't like Barracuda being played at the end of McCain's speech and have sent a cease and desist order to the Republican party. They feel like Palin in no way represents their feelings and there's irony in that Barracuda was written about the predatory nature of the music business especially towards women.

They said,

"Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song 'Barracuda' no longer be used to promote her image. The song 'Barracuda' was written in the late 70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women. (The 'barracuda' represented the business.) While Heart did not and would not authorize the use of their song at the RNC, there's irony in Republican strategists' choice to make use of it there."

Nancy continued,

With that elephant in the room, Heart's Nancy Wilson felt compelled to personally respond. "I think it's completely unfair to be so misrepresented," she said in a phone call to after the speech. "I feel completely f---ed over.

This is not the first time that an artist has told the RNC to stop playing their music. Maybe Pat Boone would still allow it...

Let's honor the Heart women with their music. This one is for Obama who supports all sorts of policies that help women.
