Beauty at My Feet

All I have to do is look down:

Lungwort

Dandelion

Dandelion puff...

Dandelion puff shedding seeds to make more dandelions...

Hosta, because I live in the suburbs and it's a law...

Vinca or Periwinkle

Fern. The heads are already uncurled.

Lily of the Valley--their perfume is strong and lovely.

Violet

What do you see where you are? What is in bloom at your feet? What will come into bloom soon?

Just beautiful! Thanks for posting them...

We've had a miserable cold and late spring here. It even snowed a bit today. My tulips are late. No sign of my Lily-of-the Valley...some of the neighbors with south facing flowerbeds have some daffodils up, but that's about it...aaaargh...enough of the cold weather already...

Thanks J. I thought the flowers were beautiful too.

You're up in Canada, right? When will it get warm for you? Hopefully soon, and then you can enjoy flowers around you too.

Yeah, we're in Canada for now, but moving to Australia...goodbye snow! Yeehaw. Of course then I get to contend with spiders the size of cats, but I guess there has to be a compromise somewhere.

hostas are required UNLESS deer have decided to hang in your yard, as they have mine...I decided to stop putting out snacks for them...
when we first moved in, I had a talk with them & said they needed to find a new favorite spot - it worked for a while but now they are back

nice shots!
